This book consists mainly of small independent readings which have been published, from time to time, in various newspapers and magazines, between the years 1955 and 1970. Till then, the history of the secret war in Crete, as well as the great contribution of the Allied secret services and commando forces in the island to the common cause remained unknown. The facts we have narrated, enlightened with new data we brought forward, created favourable impression – despite some annoyance to certain circles.
